Lunch Guide - Belleville Valley

Lunch Guide - Belleville Valley

Our Meribel ski chalets are an excellent base in which to explore the Meribel skiing and beyond to the world class 3 valleys circuit. Here is a guide to local restaurants you may want to try out.

Chez Pépé Nicolas,
+33 (0) 6 09 45 28 35

Situated between Les Menuires and Val Thorens, Chez Pepe Nicolas was created by Nicolas Jay, one time mayor of St Martin and farmer. Now ran by his grandchildren you will find a menu of Savoyard specialities and dishes in a traditional setting. You can sit on the terrace with panoramic views of the Péclet Polset glacier, or inside there are three cosy, traditional rooms indoors with original decor – the dairy, the barn and the cellar.

La Ferme de Reberty

Fairly priced plat du jours and the large menu attract the crowds at lunch. Reservations are essential. Enjoy the stunning views from the terrace on a sunny day or curl up by the fire when the cold bites

Les Sonnailles
+33 (0)4 79 00 74 28

Open all year round, les Sonnaillies is situated along the end section of the boulevard cumin from Val Thorens into Les Menuires. This spot is popular with families, with swings and a wendy house provide the entertainment for the children while adults can enjoy a well-priced meal in the restaurant.

Le Montagnard
+33 (0)4 79 01 08 40

Wonderfully presented food served in the rustic settings of the Saint-Martin old village. Situated 50m from the bottom of the drag lift.

La Ferme de la Choumette
+33 (0)4 79 40 00 42

Just before the bridge as you go towards Saint Martin-de-Belleville you’ll find this working farm situated. It has a terrific sundeck which still catches the sun late into the day. The restaurant inside has a huge glass window through which you can see all the animals below. Great to sit outside as a little smelly inside!

La Voute
+33 (0)4 79 08 91 48

Set in the heart of St Martin facing the church, La Voute is a great, reasonably priced restaurant with a large sunny terrace out front. It has a wide ranging menu of pizzas and savoyarde specials, even including pig's trotters in garlic butter. A very french feeling restaurant and very well priced for a stop on the mountain.

Le Corbeleys
+33 (0)4 79 08 95 31

Le Corbeleys is set just above the main St Martin gondola coming out of Saint Martin de Belleville. It's a very popular spot to enjoy wonderful views sweeping across the whole valley from the large sun terrace. Originally an alpine chalet that is now converted to a restaurant you can enjoy the cosy interior and enjoy Savoyard dishes.

What our customers say

  • We were delighted with all aspects of our holiday in Chalet Les Sauges. Accommodation was first class and the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were superb. The food was of the highest quality and the variety and quality was maintained throughout the week. All credit to Jamie and Natalia.

  • Lovely chalet and fantastic location – just a minute to the main lift . Wonderful area to ski – we have been to Meribel quite a few times now and it never disappoints. Food delicious and facilities very good.

Jenny Sanders, 09 Mar 2019, Chalet L'Erine, Meribel

  • We all had an excellent time in Chalet Foehn. It was lovely; cosy, homely and providing everything we needed. The resort was great. This was my first visit to Meribel and I'm impressed with the number and variety of the runs available over the three valleys. We managed to ski everyday albeit not quite all day every day. Particularly; I'd like to thank Jesse and Fiona, our hosts. They both looked after us brilliantly. The food was delicious, the packed lunches just right and the cakes wonderful. I am still shocked how nice vegan brownies can be!

  • I can safely say that all 3 families, had an absolutely fantastic holiday from the time we arrived at the chalet to when we left. From the great customer service, that Janey afforded us while organising the holiday, to the face to face contact with you all while there. We have to make a very special mention to TJ and Abby who made our stay extra special and who were fabulous chalet hosts. They make the perfect team, both friendly and professional, ensuring that each and every one of us was catered for…which is quite a task given we had quite a few dietary requirements! Their food was excellent….the children deciding to eat with us rather than eating a separate menu is testimony to that!
